The Barovier family’s involvement with glass can be traced back to the fourteenth century making them the oldest glass making family in the world. In 1942, Ercole and brother Nicol Barovier merged the company with Ferro Toso which was the start of ‘Barovier Toso’. During the course of his 50 years of work at his company Ercole Barovier invented new decorative techniques and contributed significantly to the growth and renovation of art glass. Their work can be viewed in The Museum of Glass, located in the Palazzo Giustinian in Murano (Venice, Italy).

I want these for myself, they are absolutely stunning. Hand blown glass always catches my eye and these are quite special – the color is so subtle and the shape is both elegant and playful.
